We started nicknameforgirlfriend.com because we believed that finding the right pet name for someone you love shouldn't require scrolling through 47 clickbait articles or signing up for a newsletter. It should be quick, fun, and actually useful.

How the Spinner Works
The wheel is drawn with HTML Canvas — no plugins, no Flash, no external dependencies. When you click Generate, names from our curated database are randomly assigned to wheel segments. When you spin, a smooth cubic ease-out animation plays before the wheel settles. The winner is determined by whichever name sits at the top pointer when the wheel stops.
Your saved names are stored in your browser's localStorage — they never leave your device. We don't collect data, run ads, or track you.
Our Database
Our name database is hand-curated, not AI-generated. Every category was assembled by reading widely — from classic literature and Scripture to modern naming trends and relationship forums — to find names that actually feel right when you say them out loud to someone you love. We update the database regularly as language and culture evolve.
